      Hello fellow Netgate community members,

      Does anyone have a default copy of the config.xml file one before any config is installed the one right after the wizard pops up?

      I want to use it to reference separators I have ghost entries from years ago and they sometimes caused issues when updating software. I want to know if I can delete the whole separator section here now that I found my issue and removed the ghost entries.

                      <separator>
      			<wan></wan>
      			<lan></lan>
      			<opt1></opt1>
      			<floatingrules></floatingrules>
      			<ethernetrules></ethernetrules>
      		</separator>

      can it just be <separator></separator> or can I just delete this whole section?

      I have another one that shows this

      	</rule>
      		</outbound>
      		<separator></separator>
      		<rule>

      If I removed them all to KISS or simplify it can I just delete the section or do they need to be blank?

        Then default config is in /conf.default/config.xml
        When you reset the config that is applied and then some hardware specific settings are applied.
