      Hello all,

I'm looking for 2 router recommendations. One for my home and several for my business.

      For my home:
      Cox coax connection (2000/100)

Currently running UDM-Pro SE, 48 Port Pro Max switch, 3 APs. Experiencing repeated problems with network loss related to the UDM. Unifi says the network is down, but we have confirmed that the network is still up (used a second router and verified that the cox connection is active).

      For the business:
      Cox coax connection (200/50)

Currently using Cox equipment. Experiencing repeated equipment failures. POS, payment system, computer, and camera system are hardwired.

      Thank you

@akashphx Are you intending to run any packages? That matters a lot especially on higher speed connections. As a starting point the Netgate 4200 and 2100 seem appropriate for those speeds.

        Ref: https://www.netgate.com/supported-pfsense-plus-packages

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

@SteveITS Thank you for your reply.

We're not intending to run any packages at this time, but I'd prefer to future proof. Would you recommend the 4200 then across all the sites?

The 4200 would certainly work fine at 200/50 though you wouldn't need it. That would give you room for future WAN upgrades.

You might consider one of those mini PCs that are popular these days. I've been using the one described in my sig for about 3 years.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
              UniFi AC-Lite access point

              I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...
