      if I change white boxes (since I am planning on testing 2 configs) how does that affect me license? and what do I have to do

        @laser22 You mentioned CE and Plus in the same subject but I think you're asking about the paid Plus license? It is dependent on the NDI which is generated from the MAC addresses (and maybe other things, I don't know). I believe Netgate will transfer a license to new/updated hardware once.

        So you can use CE or buy a second license if you need two active.

        Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
        When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

            ahhh my bad i meant plus-didnt mean to be lazy but with all the previous hoopla over the modest charge for a great piece of software I wanted to make sure that I wouldnt incur the wife approval factor paperwork again LOL
