      Hello there - this is my first time on this forum and my first time posting on a serious forum (only did some gaming ones before), so do excuse me if my posting style is weird.

      Anyways, I wanted to ask about writing a script to automatically report port scans (with certain count thresholds) to AbuseIPDB. The first question I wish to ask in language. I know PHP is the most supported language for scripting on pfSense, but I wanted to ask - should I use PHP for this task or should I use Python?

      If there is a category better suited for this, please do let me know - thank you in advance!

        @John-Willard

        Use what you're comfortable with !
        sh or bash, perl, and probably lua is available.

        No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
        Edit : and where are the logs ??

            It will be great, if you share your script :). Thanks.

              Hi guys,
              I create simple shell script reports for AbuseIPDB from filter.log file. Maybe it will be helpful to someone.
              It was tested over a one-week period and works as expected.
