GRE Tunnel possible NAT setup
-
Hi All,
I currently have working GRE Tunnel between my remote office to our Head Office using pfSense in our remote office and a Linux Server in our Head Office.
I can ping GRE Tunnel IP of head office from remote office, and same goes for pinging from head office to remote office.
With the remote office local LAN subnet being 10.200.0.0 and head office LAN subnet being 10.100.0.0 i can ping both ways with no issue. The issue I discovered is I have ticket system host in head office network that remote office uses. When user submits a ticket from remote office it use to show their internal LAN IP address in the ticket.
Now it is showing the local GRE Tunnel IP 172.12.100.X instead of the LAN IP of 10.200.0.XI was told I would need setup a NAT on GRE Tunnel Interface on the remote office pfSense firewall.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated on fix for this issue,Thanks,

Fix to Issue
Issue was NAT was being applied to local LAN and remote LAN which need to be removed.
This is automatically created with pfSense by default.
Disabled NAT under Firewall>NAT> Outbound change to Manual Outbound NAT rule generation. (AON - Advanced Outbound NAT)
Then select the NAT Rules to disable for Tunnel Interface for local LAN and remote LAN, then click on Toggle button to disable rules.
Done
