I have a pair of 4100s that are being repurposed and I want to use them as my primary routers with BGP/FRR and CARP for hardware redundancy

It's a single 1 Gbit/s uplink at the colo and using our own AS and announcing a /23 and /48 with partial routes

So...is it a good platform to use this hardware or should I consider something else and leave these as spares for something else?

      Thanks,
      Eric

@ericlee Id expect it to be fine.

https://shop.netgate.com/products/4100-base-pfsense has it cox as “IMIX Traffic: 1.40 Gbps”

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
