Pfsense+ migrate to new hardware
-
I have a homelab with a DL380 Gen9 and an virtual pfsense on it. I have upgraded to the Pfsense+ version but the 1 year TAC Lite is already expired but I recieve the updated. So far everything is fine. Now esxi is RIP and I have to switch to ProxMox and I also recieved new hardware Gen10 :). So I need to do a fresh install and import the config from my old pfsensen.
The NDI probably changes and I'm not sure how the process is? Do I need to install the CE Version and then Upgrade to +. How is about the licence because this licence doesn't exists anymore?
Best Regards

Yes currently you would need to install CE and then upgrade to Plus again.
You would need a new subscription to do that if your current one has expired. The subscription is tied to the install (the NDI) so normally you would need one anyway if you change hardware. (there are exceptions).

You would need that if you want to upgrade to Plus yes.

Lucky Netgate ;), no you did a great job so I will probably buy an Netgate 8200. I just need a confirmation concerning the SFP Module i need from my provider then I will ask here if it's compatible in a new thread.
