Status / DHCP Leases
-
Hi guys,
Ok so I have a situation I'd like to bring to the table regarding the sorting on the DHCP Leases page.
Whenever I open this page the results appear in a sort of inverse ip order, where bigger IP's come first.
eg.
10.0.20.240 10.0.20.239 10.0.20.220
and so on.
But this goes completely out of sense, if I look at the order of the third octet. So I have:
10.0.20.X ... 10.0.201.X ... 10.0.140.X ... 10.0.40.X
where the 1st and 2nd octets are the same, and the third octet appears in this order: 20 - 201 - 140 - 40 .
The truth is I can't really figure what "field" is sorting the results, but the order is a tad random?
And when on occasion I come here to check for a host IP, I feel like I always spend more time than I should if results were properly ordered. Yet if I press "IP address" it does sort by IP correctly.Wouldn't it make sense to add a default sort option here?

i think the default sort on page-load is based on "start" or "end" column. (i haven't checked the code)it's normal for the ip-order to be screwed up

well all the leases here are fixed leases and the Start and End columns are
n/a

Indeed it would. I suggest you submit this as a feature request or flag it as a possible bug.
