pfSense favicon not working on Safari?

After updating to the latest version (2.7.2) I noticed my pfsense webUI favicon disappeared. However it seems like this behavior is only occurring in Safari (both Mac and iOS). I also tested it on Chrome, Edge and Firefox and all of them seem to be loading just fine.
Of course, I already tried clearing my browser cookies and cache. I went as far as reinstalling my pfsense instance and restoring from backup. All the favicon files are where they're supposed to, in both /usr/local/www/ and /usr/local/www/apple-touch
This is something silly and obviously it doesn't affect any functionality, but I was curious if someone else was experiencing the same.

@tecno-guac its not just pfsense I have lost most of my favicons and can't even remember when it started happening in safari.
the constant being logged out issue is more of a problem for me so I don't really notice anymore.

What icon You see at the top of roll-up window (where "Options" appear) on iOS Safari when You tap on "Share" icon ?
