NetGate 6100: Question on temperature thresholds and over-temp protection
-
I'm just curious, as I'm implementing a pro-active temperature monitoring and alerting mechanism for my NetGate 6100 - after all why not :-)
-
What are the 'safe' upper temperature limits for the core system temp (ACPI sensor) and CPU core temps?
-
Does the system take any specific action if those limits are exceeded? For example performance throttling, shutting down, ...
Thanks for any info.

I have the same question for the 4200 systems & the same rationale for wanting to know. So far the only info I could find is Intel's CPU specs at ark.intel.com where in the case of the 4200 they show the C1110 CPU's Tjunction as 100C. Intel's docs suggest that the CPU will throttle as temps rise, but that doesn't translate into a temp that we should alert on.
