Sanity checking a build

Hi all, finally sick of consumer-grade routers crapping out at least once a year, and hoping for a sanity check on a proposed pfSense box. WAN is 1 gigabit up and down (speeds confirmed via direct connect to ISP gateway). LAN use includes multiple baby/security cams, NAS, HTPC DVR and streaming, game streaming. WAN use includes VPN, large file transfer, remote desktop & such for telecommuting, plus normal media streaming and such. Eventual plans to host game server. Presently have five Cat5e drops in the house, will probably expand to 10-15 before too long. Will be running IPS and a few others services. Box will be located on a high shelf near the network panel in the laundry room, door is usually closed so probably not the greatest airflow but room does have AC vent and air return so not too worried. Out of the way location but wife approval factor still comes somewhat into play.

Motherboard: Asrock H270M-ITX/ac (motherboard wireless most likely will be disabled; other devices to provide wireless AP)

NIC: Mobo is dual Intel NIC so none now, but case includes angled PCIe riser for expansion in slim case if needed later

Switch: Netgear GS116 (16-port full duplex gigabit, unmanaged, fanless)
Probably some overkill choices in there, but mainly wanting to check that there aren't any concerns/known issues with pfSense and those components.
