      Netbird seems to be a good alternative to Tailscale. Especially since the project can be self-hosted for production without having to pay high prices that are unaffordable for many home labs or small businesses ($5USD/user/month).

      A BSD package is currently missing. However, it is on Netbird's roadmap for this month

      Is Netbird support in pfSense planned? The integration should be very similar to Tailscale as the projects are very similar.

      Doesn't that sound like the perfect job for Christian McDonald?
