      Hi,

it would be much easier for our company to buy a hardware lifetime pfSense+ license instead of the yearly costs.

So if we calculate 10 years for the own hardware this will be 10 x 129$ = 1290$ once.
Maybe an idea for sales, not sure this is possible at all.

@slu Netgate has several models that cost less than $1290. But I take it you prefer your own hardware?

One challenge I see is, if the license is tied to hardware/NICs, than repairing custom hardware becomes a licensing challenge. For instance, what if your NIC dies 1 year into a 10 year license?

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

Yes that's the point, because nothing really match for our setup.

But this is the same with a 1537 or I'm wrong?
In such case the NID will be reset to match the new hardware components?

Call our sales guys and ask. We do have special arrangements with some customers.

Unfortunately there is no possibility for another license model.

What hardware are you specifying for your use case?

we have already one year old server hardware, so no replacement is needed at the moment.
The new Netgate 8300 was one year to late ;)

If we replace the current hardware in future we take something like the 8300...
