      Hello,
I upgraded my 5100 with a 240GB SSD and ZFS.
Since the upgrade and fesh installation of pfsense plus,
shutdown -r now shutsdown the system but does not reboot.

Any idea what I could do to fix this?

      Regards,
      Gunther

Does it go into standby like it was actually shut down?

Does it reboot correctly from the gui or console option 5?

        Does /etc/rc.reboot work correctly?

          Good morning,
it goes into standby, as if shutdown.
This already happened when I installed pfsense from scratch and the installer wanted to reboot.

The reboot does not work even from CLI, same with rc.reboot.
The LEDs from the RJ45-ports are on (not flashing),
the middle and upper status LEDs are off, the lowest LED green.

          Any hint for me?

          Regards,
          Gunther

And also doesn't work from the GUI Diag > Reboot option?

@hebein said in shutdown -r now does not reboot:

the middle and upper status LEDs are off, the lowest LED green.

That is not standby. In standby power mode the lower (power) LED goes off. The LED in the power button shows red.

If you try to shutdown the system using Diag > Halt does it go into standby?

If that also fails then something is preventing a clean shutdown.

What is the last thing shown at the console when you try to reboot?

@hebein What if you just type

              reboot

              and hit Enter?
