Can I take my auto config backup from my 2100 and restore it to the 4200? I understand I will have to reconfigure my WAN, LAN ports after the restore? I don't use VLANs at all.

Yes you can. Yes you will have to re-assign the interfaces.

We can convert the config for you if you open a ticket with us. That way it will import directly without any intervention required.

@stephenw10 Sounds good, thanks for the reply! I need to place an order for the 4200 Max. Sent an email this morning to sales@netgate to ask if I need to create a new "account" to place an order or reactivate the account I used maybe 3 years ago. Sale site wouldn't let me do a password reset.
Will the 4200 Max have pfsense installed and boot from the SSD or will I have to set it up? Just trying to get away from eMMC.

It will be installed to and booting from the SSD already. The eMMC should be empty.

@stephenw10 is this available to anyone purchasing new hardware or only those with paid support plans? I am having a heck of a time getting the VLANs I had working on 2100 to work on the 4200.
