What's the ambient temperature? How is it mounted?

Since its entirely passively cooled it will be affected by both those things significantly.

Check the logging in Status > Monitoring:

That said 52°C is not a value that would concern me. The max junction temperature for the C1110 is 100°C.

The device is sitting on my desktop. All of the case vents are unobstructed. The ambient temperature of the room has been right around the 75F (25C) range, give or take.

The fact that it's passively cooled was one of the reasons that I bought it.

@TechGuyTnE My new 4200 is on my desk in my "home lab", nothing sitting on top of it, nothing sitting below. Room temp is 76-77 degrees F. The 4200 is running at 63F, cpu at 8%. I thought mine was high also. I just have the "stock" packages running with the addition of haproxy.

63°F is only 17°C which seems unlikely. And also very cool! Do you mean 63°C?

What does the thermal sensors widget show?

@stephenw10 I'm now thinking I made it switch from my 2100 to the 4200 on May 29. Maybe the config from the 2100 still needs more changes. I made the interface assignments with a text editor to the config xml and loaded it on the 4200. So far so good, first issue I've ran into. Do you happen to know, was there other areas in the 2100 config that needed to be changed?

You may not have Speedshift enabled in Sys > Adv > Misc since the 2100 doesn't have that. That will bring down CPU temps.

How do you reset RRD?

The default value for SpeedShift is 80.
