      Hello everyone

I have an old 4860-1u device that I want to bring up to date. It does boot up fine.
I downloaded the installer, wrote it to a flash drive and booted the 4860 from it. After the terminal selection menu (ansi/vt100 etc) I get the copyright screen, then the welcome screen where I can select Install, Rescue shell, Advanced options etc. Selecting install brings up an error message: "Cannot continue with the installation no valid storage devices detected". The Advanced options screen doesn't provide an option to specify a destination device.

How can I point the installer to the correct drive?
      thx

Is it a very early one with a 4GB eMMC drive?

The Net Installer won't install into 4GB. If that's what you have I'd open a TAC ticket and request the legacy installer for that reason.
