I had a 1100 and a 4100 and I have had to reset the units, use the serial console connection and I just can't get into the 4200.

I have manually set my computer IP to 192.168.1.2 with 192.168.1.1 as the gateway and 255.255.255.0 as the netmask with 192.168.1.1 as the dns.

I have also tried 192.168.101.0/24 as per another thread.

I have also tried a different computer, both windows and linux.

I have also rebooted it and let it sit for 15 minutes, thinking it is a slow booter.

How do I kick start this thing out of the box?

      Thank you

@davidstoll You have your computer connected to port 2 of the 4200, right?

@WN1X wow, nope. Holy cow, why is this so different than the others?

Also, is there a way to convert my xml backup? I know I can use a text editor, but I have a lot of stuff going on. All the ports are so different.

@davidstoll Open a ticket with NetGate support...they can convert your old config.

@davidstoll adding in, they will convert the config for free for their hardware.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
