Thanks for taking the time to read this post and if you can answer my questions.

Like the thread title says I'm a total newbie to pfsense and at the moment I have installed this on a old laptop. The laptop has a RJ11 and an RJ45 Socket.

I have installed pfsense and I'm struggling to get my LAN recognised let alone internet access. I have been reading a lot and just realized as I type this haven't watched any you tube videos but the problems I'm having are my LAN is being recognised as I think the WAN. I think the WAN is the internet side from my ISP.

Like I say I'm very new but currently have my Switch at the moment what is connected to my generic router from my ISP and then thus my Client Machines are connected to the switch.

Is anyone able to help with regards to how to proceed after installation and getting the LAN recognised. I've done a fresh install in case I managed somehow to screw up the Configuration settings.
