I have an old custom hardware pfSensebox running CE, v.2.7.2. I am planning to buy a Netgate 4200 MAX.

How do I restore all configuration and packages on the Netgate 4200 MAX?

        1. Use backup GUI to save config on old device
        2. Use restore GUI to restore to new device. It will prompt you to select WAN LAN OPT1 OPT2 interfaces. There may be a warning at the bottom to return to the GUI to force it to reloaded packages after reboot.

@Sealr0x If you have a complex setup...VLANs, etc., Netgate will convert your configuration to the new model for you (free ticket).

One note though, when you reassign interfaces, click the bottom Save button before you click the Apply button at the top of the page.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
