LAN not working after failover of MultiWAN
-
Hello Community,
Today i created the Failover MultiWAN for my PFsense. I have two DSL Providers (1x Vodafone cable with WAN-DHCP and 1x Telekom DSL with PPPoE) - I added the Gateway Group, selected it as default Gateway, created Monitoring IPs for both WAN Lines, that‘s it. When i plug off the main internet connection (Vodafone) then the 2nd WAN (Telekom) take over without issues. BUT - as long as my main WAN is down (cable plugged off for testing purposes) the complete LAN Environment is not reachable. From the Firewall himself i can ping the servers on LAN side but no Client (directly connected over a switch to LAN interface from PFsense) can reach any network device. After plugging the main WAN in again and waiting for a minute the LAN connectivity on the client comes back. Tried several times (also waiting time for more then 10 minutes) - it‘s always the same.Any idea what i do wrong? I have not set a default gateway for the LAN Interface neither have i changed something on the firewall rules. Thanks for any approach help me to understand what‘s wrong here.

@mdonner Perhaps some pictures of your setup might help, from the Routing / Gateways and Gateway Groups pages.
Pfsense isn't really involved in traffic between devices on your LAN, so it's really strange that you would see this happening?!
Apparently you are able to access pfsense UI from a client, so do you have internet access when on the failover connection? And do the servers have internet access? Are you using VLAN's to separate your servers from your clients??
