      I am confused about moving by netgate pfsense router from a static public address at my current location to a dynamic public address at a new location. The network is fine when I put in the current public IP address, but if the ISP changes it I assume I would lose access. How do I program the router with dynamic DNS so that it automatically updates after ISP addressing changes?

        @rtwang Go to Interface, then WAN and select DHCP as shown below...

          @rtwang Under Services / Dynamic DNS you can create an entry for the DynDNS service you are using. pfsense will check the IP and automatically update with your new IP if and when it changes.
