      Dear Netgate-forum,

in my current setting IPv6-prefixes are distributed by SLAAC. It works fine.
When the ISP gives me a new IPv6-prefix pfSense distributes the new IPv6 prefix via SLAAC but on the clients the old prefix remains, so they use both prefixes the old and the new one resulting in no IPv6 connectivity.
How can pfSense tell them to discard the old prefix? Is there a revocation process for abandoned IPv6 prefixes?

      Best regards

What you can do is use Unique Local Addresses, in addition to global addresses. You then use the local DNS to point to the ULA address, rather than GUA.

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...
