Hello
Will this hardware configuration be sufficient for pfsense that supports 3xWAN 1xLAN at the basic configuration? The hardware is Dell Dimension 9150 with 2Gb RAM with Intel (R) Pentium (R) D CPU 2.80GHz 2 CPUs: 1 package (s) x 2 core (s) with Intel PRO / 1000 network adapters PWLA8391GT and Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter . There are 20 computers on the network side. Wan is 2xLTE 50GBit / s and Orange 20 / 1GBit / s
Witam
Czy taka konfiguracja sprzętowa będzie wystarczająca dla pfsense, obsługującego 3xWAN 1xLAN narazie w podstawowej konfiguracji. Sprzęt to Dell Dimension 9150 z 2Gb RAM z procesorem Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz 2 CPUs: 1 package(s) x 2 core(s) z kartami sieciowymi Intel PRO/1000 PWLA8391GT i Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter. I hope this will be only MBit/s and not GBit/s, for MBit/s this hardware will be good for sure. If you plan to install more packets
such as Squid, Snort, ClamAV or pfBlockerNG please add some more RAM modules, 4 GB or 8 GB must be then enough pending
on the installed packets and offered services.P.S. The Intel CPU has no AES-NI support, for the next two or three years you may be on the safe site, but then you may also be looking for
another CPU or CPU & Board & RAM because of the lag of AES-NI support that will be in the future a must be for pfSense.Dobrý den!
Dobrý výběr hardwaru, pouze 2 roky, pak výměna processor prosím! -
my pfsense is sitting on an intel pentium e5300 2.6ghz and 4gb of ram. I have 1 wan of 60/5 and Ive never seen it go over 10% on 2.3.4 release and I'm quite please with my performance.

This CPU is not supporting AES-NI and in some years perhaps you might be taking a newer one, if you want
to stay with the actual pfSense releases, or am I wrong with that. -

So I'll probably look at an intel core i3 4330 or comparable Pentium….depending on how they ebay, other wise if the price hasn't dropped that much ill just go 5th or 6th gen.
