Hi I have a Qlogik 57810 card in my pfsense machine (sfp+ compatible) and a Mikrotik CRS109 (sfp only).
I have set the speed of the link on the Mikrotik to 1Gbps but the only option on the pfsense box is auto negotiation or 10gbps.
Can I force the speed on the Qlogik down?

      Thanks

The driver/hardware may not support it. The gui just reflects whatever media options ifconfig returns. What module are you using? That would have to support dual speed.

You may be able to set the available advertised speeds to negotiate. The switch would have to be set to negotiate for that.

@stephenw10 I got it sorted in the end. Mikrotik on the other end of the link, freed up one of the SFP+ ports. Very simple...
