    I have been running pfsense+ on the community support only and I upgraded my my PCIE NIC to a 4 port 10 gig port and now I cannot get updates and its says I need a subscription now. Do I have to upgrade to pfsense+ subscription? I use this as and advanced home user.

      have been running pfsense+ on the community support

      You are use pfSense Plus 24.03
      Or the pfSense 2.7.2, also called community edition.
      Which one is it ?

          @kurtz_p

          In that case, contact TAC support.

          As you've figured out already, if you change the "hardware" of your pfSense enough, the "account/user ID" doesn't match anymore. Adding or removing NICs will invalidate the registration.
          A bit like what Microsoft OSs do.
