I know this upgrade issue has been talked about but repair methods seems to be a bit disorganized and I'm hoping some of you who have fixed the issue can give me a hand because I'm not good at all with freebsd cli and i actually can't have my firewall offline for any great length of time at this moment..

I'm running the latest version of pfsense ce 2.7.2 with latest stable suricata and the pfblockerng-dev was version 3.2.0_8.
i saw the update and moved forward with it, not knowing there would be a problem because quite frankly, pfsense updates in the past have always gone without a hitch.

I have NOT rebooted the box.. I can still get out to the internet and my family can still access my services so I left it alone. I did this because I read (I believe it was on reddit) that someone spoke of their boot environment being blown away, and again, i need this to come up. I have a backup router which i will put in place when i get home if i need it.

i ran top -P to see the services and i killed the php-fpm and php services that were causing the cpu to run at 100%.

at this moment, when i attempt to web into pfsense, i receive the white NGINX page that says error 502 and a few other things that I don't remember off the top of my head.

Can anyone provide instructions on how to repair my issue?

      i GREATLY appreciate your help!!
