I am creating this post for the benefit of the forum members.

My current setup has 3 UPS connected to netgate router , modem, switches and servers.

I thought why not buy a power station and connect all the UPS to this power station, the idea behind it is to "extend" the availibility in case of power outage. I connected the UPS to the power station because all my power supplies come out of UPS and I did not want to re-route the power cables.

The Anker Solix 800 plus resides in my basement with constant temps around 66 degree F. I activated the UPS functionality in the App.

The anker does come with an App connected to wifi. For the first 1 week everything went on fine....but after a week the Solix flooded me with messages stating Low temperature and (E28**) and randomly shut off. Interestingly when it shut off, It probably surged the output to my UPS and my UPS shut off as well! - I have no idea why - Router, modem and server shut down as well!!!

The idea of placing the UPS to a power station miserably failed and this unit is probably not baked yet fully.

Got involved with customer service and after uploading the logs etc I returned it . I requested a refund.

I was probably made a "guinea pig" due to 1st iteration (My guess).

One good thing about Anker is they accepted it was defective and in an email said that I will get a refund once they receive the shipment!

Have others tried something like this?

** E28: Your device's temperature is too low so charging will stop automatically. Continue charging when the low-temperature status returns to normal

I was considering something similar. Some of those claim to be able to run as a UPS but the switch over time is not great. They seem to be improving though.

Did the Anker run as continuously from battery in UPS mode?

It works great in UPS mode and switch over is very quick

in UPS mode, all conected devices uses the mains power (bypasses anker) . The battery kicks in (in UPS mode) when power is cut off seamlessly (I did test this by disconnecting the power and my modem and netgate 2100 worked fine)

Anker switch over is documented by 20 seconds and it works very good. I was dissappointed to return the unit because of some other fault - The app started flooding messages as low temp while my basement is constant 66 degrees F. Maybe I will wait for couple of years before buying another one.
I would welcome anybody else who have tried such a thing and please mention the make and model numbers you have.

FYI, I have solix anker 800 (not the plus) as my garage door opener UPS and so far (2 weeks) it is working good.
