Update to 24.03_1 stops at Extracting Python 3.11.7...

I wanted to update my pfsense Plus from 23.09.1 to 24.03_1 and I have rebooted my Netgate 2100 after the first attempt but the update process stops at the same position:

Extracting Python 3.11.7: .....>> Unlocking package pkg...done
Failed

What can be the issue here? It has been updating flawlessly every time until now...

Also my 2100 BIOS version is from 2018 (released in 2020) should it be updated too, how do I do that?

The uboot version is updated during the upgrade process. The current version reports as:

Vendor: U-Boot
Version: 2018.03-devel-1.2.0ROGUE2-01.00.00.02+
Release Date: Fri Feb 7 2020

So it seems you already have it.
