      Good Evening,

      when i run

      pkg update

      i keep getting this error i check that the dns is ok i also was able to search for a package but it keepe failing not sure why

      pkg: Repository pfSense-core load error: access repo file(/var/db/pkg/repo-pfSense-core.sqlite) failed: No such file or directory
      pkg: https://pkg.pfsense.org/pfSense_v2_3_4_amd64-core/meta.txz: No address record
      repository pfSense-core has no meta file, using default settings
      Unable to update repository pfSense-core
      Updating pfSense repository catalogue…
      pkg: Repository pfSense load error: access repo file(/var/db/pkg/repo-pfSense.sqlite) failed: No such file or directory

        Hi,

        See pfsense 2.3.3 Unable to check for updates or pfSense Repository "broken" (more exists).
        What is your DNS setup ? You kept the default "resolver" (always works, no matter what) or the more trickier one : "forwarder" ? What settings ?
        It might be even more simple (as seen in a thread) : the drive was booted using read only mode …. and that stops the show right away.
        Or drive damaged ...
        Or some system PHP system files didn't come over when installing ...

        Anyway, read the thread I showed - install Google and use it to search some more - and come back with your detailed findings. I promise you that in your next question you will find your answer.

        Edit : and where are the logs ??
