Multiple WAN blocks on single interface
-
We just installed a new fiber circuit to our pfsense; the info the fiber carrier gave us was:
Customer layer 3 IP information:
Link IP Address: 50.236.35.8/29
Gateway: 50.236.35.9
Customer Layer 3 IPs: 50.236.35.10 – 50.236.35.14Customer Usable IP Information
Usable IP Block: 50.236.35.64/26
Customer Usable Static IPs: 50.236.35.65 – 50.235.35.126What is the best way to set this up in pfsense?
Currently I set up the interface using the customer layer 50.236.35.8/29 block and added a static route for the block: 50.236.35.64/26. Is this correct? -
- If they are routing the main block via the transit block, you should be able to just add virtual IPs from the second block.
- You might want to consider obfuscating the first octet or two of your IPs.
