      Hi there!

After finding my 6100 WAN port 1 dead one morning, and after testing it rigorously with known working cable and trying other destinations to see if we could get the port to come up it would work.

Anyway I sent off some logs as requested and was I should RMA the device.

I heeded all the tips about US customs, including to make sure it was labelled 'faulty / return for replacement'. That means one would think there are no duties / taxes owed.

The product was I thought reasonablely described the firewall and if they turn it on they wont be able to use the WAN port.

It's in its original packaging, put further into a larger box for safety - with bubble wrapped to stop the inner box moving.

I don't really know what else I could have done. It should be obvious that this is a warranty return and has no commercial value to sell etc.

Please let me know what you would like me to do

      Kind regards,
      David Webster.

@dc_webster It sounds like you have a ticket open with Netgate so I would suggest responding in the ticket.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
