pfsense sending DHCP messages on interface with DHCP disabled
-
Hi,
I have a fixed IP on my WAN, and as such, I'm not running DHCP on that interface, neither as a client, server or repeater. However, I see the below in my logs (ix3 is my WAN port):
This behaviour appears to be on an endless loop, repeating every minute or so.
I'm running ISC for DHCP if that makes any difference, and it's not enabled on the WAN interface:
And finally - the interface is set up as static on ipv4:
I don't think it's having any impact on my networking, except filling up logs, but would still appreciate any ideas on what might be driving the behaviour :-)
Thank you!
Alex

Thanks Gertjan,
I tried it, and it did get rid of that process. I still had the "FAIL" message come back on the same regular basis all on its own though, with varying PIDs. When I finally found an opportunity to reboot pfsense though (30 mins ago) it went away completely though :-)
So yes, probably some ghost.
Thanks again!
Alex
