Packages showing as up to date - they are not. 2.7.2
-
Whilst making a number of rule changes, it came to mind that I hadn't updated packages for a while, so thought I'd do it whilst logged in, but all packages are showing as up to date, which I considered strange.
For example, I have pfBlockerNG-devel 3.2.0_20 but it seems 3.2.1_21 is the latest version.
pkg-static update -f shows:
Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue... Fetching meta.conf: 100% 163 B 0.2kB/s 00:01 Fetching packagesite.pkg: 100% 1 KiB 1.5kB/s 00:01 Processing entries: 100% pfSense-core repository update completed. 4 packages processed. Updating pfSense repository catalogue... Fetching meta.conf: 100% 178 B 0.2kB/s 00:01 Fetching packagesite.pkg: 100% 157 KiB 160.4kB/s 00:01 Processing entries: 100% pfSense repository update completed. 550 packages processed. All repositories are up to date.
Also tried
pkg-static clean -ay ; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade
Really don't know the last time I did an update, so can't say when this started happening. Device seems to be functioning fine otherwise.
Any pointers, please?

I don't have a CE where I can look but are you sure that's released on 2.7.2 and not just Plus? The packages are tied to a pfSense version.
Where are you seeing that 3.2.0_21 is out? Not finding a reference...

@iStuart It may not be released yet even if that shows in github.

@SteveITS Fair enough, I'm obviously finding an issue where the isn't one.
Is there a link that states what the latest version is?

I don't think so. Usually it's discussed in the forum category here. There is https://www.patreon.com/pfBlockerNG but it isn't always posted there I think. Also https://www.reddit.com/r/pfBlockerNG/.
