      I am still on a free home/lab license. do I have to switch to a paid license and if so how? thanks.

        Also, I purchased it in august of 23 and am running 24.11 so so much for 1 year.

          @techpro2004 IIRC there is a page in the System menu where you can see your license.

          Don’t have any paid licenses but I thought the free ones were going to expire (??). I guess wait and see if you can install the next update.

          You can purchase a subscription in their online store.

          Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
          When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

            I have a paid license but it is for another system in a different location and it is expired and running 24.11 aswell

              on the register page, I get the following:

              Thank you for choosing Netgate pfSense® Plus

              Your device does not require registration, we recognize it already. You may have already registered, or it may be a pre-registered Netgate appliance.

              fyi: It is my own hardware.

                If you can still see available packages then it's still valid and would be valid for any Plus version.
