SG1100 will not update off of 2.4.4

I've been trying to upgrade this sg1100 for a few hours now. I first went through the web gui route which will not move. I've now created a bootable USB and am trying to run the upgrade over serial. But, after interrupting the boot process and entering run usbboot it just continues booting off the emmc as usual. I cannot get this thing to update to the latest OS. I've had to run a file check a few times and also have tried all things linked below:

Try running:
run usbrecoveryThat will erase the emmc from uboot so it can only mount root from USB.
