      Hi All,

Strange behavior on one device (Netgate 4200 ; software version 24.03-RELEASE amd64).

When powering up, the DNS (forward) service does not start automatically..
LAN users cannot resolve external domains.
When restarting the DNS service via the Web GUI, everything works.

Backup and restored the config to another Netgate device => no problem
Full factory reset => no problem
Restore of the config => not working

Any ideas where I can continue searching ?
Can this be hardware related ?

      Thanks for your feedback!

      Best Regards
      Thomas

        I'll change the phrasing :
Netgate's default setup : it works.
The setup modified by you : doesn't work.

When you use the default Netgate setup, note down every DNS related setting.
Then get your settings back in, and change every DNS settings to default.

Ah, some chip or resistor or cap broke and only DNS stops working ?
Euh ...... noop, good news, don't worry, your hardware is fine.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
