I have a redundancy setup, and

I have a license for my Primay Pfsense Plus,
so do i need to purchase another license for my secondary (Redundant) Pfsense Plus?

@anandpeculiar Yes. Each router will have a unique NDI based on things like network cards.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

Do both boxes need to be on either Plus or CE for HA setup to work even if hardware is identical?

@MarinSNB Not sure, but I would guess you're likely to run into a problem if the Plus router is a newer FreeBSD version. The config sync could be a problem too because there are versions of the config file.
