I upgraded this afternoon after I got home from the station. Took a nap even so I was refreshed and alert.
I was hesitant after reading about all of the failures, but I did due diligence, backed up the config, downloaded a fresh copy of my current 2.3.5 install, also downloaded a fresh copy of 2.4.0, just in case, and hit the update button.
It took awhile to download, install, reboot, and come back online.
But come back online it did.
Initially I was worried as I had a bunch of rules and tweaks, probably similar to all of you.
The GUI was sluggish, however I was able to ssh into the box, so I walked away and gave it some time.
AND I AM PLEASED! Lower CPU and memory usage, even with all of the packages I have running.
Again, thank you and the community for this fine, free software!
