@Briareos First try to delete old Boot Environments to free space:
        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/filesystem-shrink.html

Worst case yes you can reinstall:
        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/sg-1100/reinstall-pfsense.html

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

Go here : download pfsense and download the installer.
Burn it to an USB drive, see pfSense documentation who to do that.
Put the USB drive in your 1100, hook up the console access : the small USB that came with your 1100.
See pfSense documentation how to set that cable up (serial port emulation).

          Now, restart your 1100.

The installer will - afaik, auto start.
The installer will detect that you have a 1100 so you will be able to install pfSense Plus.
The installer will find an existing pfSense config on pfSense internal drive, and ask if you want to re use it : you'll be having all the good (and bad) setting back from before.

The pfSense documentation pages will guide you through all the steps.

Btw : with a little bit less then 100 Mbytes left, you can't install a "500 Mbytes size OS". For the upgrade to happen, it has to download first all the needed files ... and that wont fit with "3 % left".

Edit : and where are the logs ??

See : Little confused - is 24.11 not available for SG-1100? Says at latest revision 24.03 RELEASE

which makes me think that 24.11 should work on a 1100.

You have a "Stockage 8 GB EMMC " drive on board, so it should fit.
The installer will delete all drive info (partitions) before it re creates them.

maybe it's time to 'check' your emmc first ? But sorry, can't tell how you can do that from the command line .... maybe @stephenw10 has a suggestion ?

@Gertjan thank you for the advice, yes, 24.11 it is available, seems that it was a hardware issue.
