      Hi,

I have been happily using 2.8.0-RELEASE since its release. Tonight though my PPPOE connection dropped, and woke up in the morning to no internet and the WAN interface down. I'm using the new if_pppoe module.

System log didn't give a clue to what happened:

No entries in the PPP log. Any idea why the pppoe link didn't reconnect automatically? I rebooted pfsense in the morning and all back to normal now.

@mcfly9 You might want to check my thread. Will report back if setting a Reconnect using Cron works.

Hmm, nothing logged before or after that?

It should have tried to reconnect.

If you see it again you can run pppcfg pppoe0 to see what it's doing. It will show you the connection phase and state.
