    On beta 2.8.1 but update tab indicated that the current stable is 24.11

      updated to the beta 2.8.1 and in the update tab as seen in the following screen indicated that the current stable is 24.11 https://i.postimg.cc/rw1h8f9K/Screenshot-2025-07-18-073253.png but it clearly shows I am on the beta in the dashboard in the following image https://i.postimg.cc/wv7ZThvZ/Screenshot21.png is this an error or intended I do not have a pfsense+ cant afford the price

        Hmm, that shouldn't be offered in 2.8.1 because it would be a downgrade. Digging....

          @stephenw10 yeah i though so to, kinda freaked out hope I dont have to reinstall once another beta drops or become realse (2.8.1)

                @stephenw10 BTW 24.11 is t he only option in the drop down menu on the system/update/system update tab and also in the system/update/update settings

                No option for 2.8.0, or the beta 2.8.1 sorry for the many post wanted to give you more information.

                  Yup I was seeing that here too.

                  Should be good now. You should only see the 2.8.1-Beta repo available from 2.8.1-Beta.

                      Just notice that the main dashboard widget that displays the current version information and update status does not display an update notice when you click the circle arrows, I had to go to system/update/ system update to see that there was a new beta version available. just an FYI not sure if by design of related to the above issue. @stephenw10

                        Hmm, it should if you are on the 2.8.1-Beta branch. It just showed that you were up to date? The new beta was only just made available.
