Clone SSD to newer SSD to replace worn SSD.

All,

If I use an SSD cloner, can I take the worn SSD in my Netgate appliance (SG5100 in this case) and clone it to a new SSD and then put the new one into the SG5100?
Don't know if this would work.

Any advice?

I know I can also do backup and a new install and restore. I may do that anyway to move to a bigger SSD.

Get a larger SSD so it wears more slowly
Use the Netgate pfsense installer
Restore your pfsense configuration from backup

The SSD is at its EOL? That seems uncommon for an SSD…
