      All,

      If I use an SSD cloner, can I take the worn SSD in my Netgate appliance (SG5100 in this case) and clone it to a new SSD and then put the new one into the SG5100?
      Don't know if this would work.

      Any advice?

      I know I can also do backup and a new install and restore. I may do that anyway to move to a bigger SSD.

        @Phizix I would

        • Get a larger SSD so it wears more slowly
        • Use the Netgate pfsense installer
        • Restore your pfsense configuration from backup

          @Phizix Note these options if you do reinstall:

          The SSD is at its EOL? That seems uncommon for an SSD…

          Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
          When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.
