B R A V O ! Update from 2.8.0 to 2.8.1 toally breaks my IPv6 MultiWAN Setup
-
Wanted to make my anger a bit less here...
Didn't hat the time to debug the problem, though, my setup isn't the "Easy Peasy" Standard setup at all, I am totally disappointed every update again....
If I hat the time, it would be migrated to something other than pfsense CE.... but hey the dentist has the badest teeth, doesn't he? so after 17 Years I now have the badest firewall which does not even survive one minor update without making problems - since the last years.......
Rant_over....

The day you have some time left, consider this advise : systems, like Internet access routers/firewalls, that are really important to you, they should be 'simple' to set up.
So, pfSense, or any other TP/D-link device, or, why not, a Sisco PIX 123xxx, keep the setup to a bare(able) minimum. From then one, as you don't use a lot of (code) resources on your system, the chance you use some thing that no one else uses
This one is easy to understand : when you use more code, chances are greater you find a bug ^^I know, pfSense offers loads of 'stuff' and everybody wants to use all the available options.
Been there, seen that.
That said, "IPv6" is hardly special although many ISPs make a mess out of it.
A Multi WAN is maybe somewhat more a special thing, but rather well documented.Updating a system : no need to be paranoid, but always be prepared to make the step backwards, if needed. Make use of the inverse Murphy's law : if you are well prepared, the preparation wasn't needed.

Ah, you really didn't use any of the other ones mentioned above ^^ I consider that a good thing because you don't know what you miss (I'm happy for you).
You don't make me believe that the grass is greener elsewhere
