Logo Question & Caps
-
Hello all!
I've just upgraded my first router from 2.3.x to 2.4.1 and it's gone fairly smoothly. The update said it had failed just a couple of lines into the process and become unresponsive but I left it alone and a bit later it rebooted on its own and it still updated normally it seems.
I like the clean, modern look of the new logo and it's ability to be recognizable and legible when shortened to just the "pf" but the switch from red to blue clashes with the theme I've built. Our company logo is red. The APU case is red. The theming is red and gray. It's nice for us that the colors line up and are consistent. For me, the change to blue sticks out like a sore thumb. The logo on the main page is svg and it looks like it's controlled by a logo.css file. I can manipulate the colors in there so that I can get the red on black look to make it uniform. Now that you've moved to vectorized graphics that can be controlled in css, it would be really nice for those of us that create our own themes to be able to specify the color to make things more consistent.
Is there a way to do the same thing with the logo in the tab? I'd like to keep the theme scheme the same. The new logo is much easier to read than the old logo when shrunk, so that's nice. I'd just like to trade the blue for red just to keep the scheme consistent. Or, if it doesn't offend anyone, if someone could tell me where the icon file is I can just color over it myself. I don't know if that gets into copyright or steps on anyone's toes, though. I'm not looking to take credit or rebrand or anything like that. I'm just looking to change colors.
I'm also surprised that the "S" is no longer capitalized in the new logo. In pretty much every other location it is still capitalized. Even at pfsense.com the logo in the top left is small but all the text throughout the landing page is capitalized. The tab has it capitalized. It's a bit inconsistent.
Thanks for any insight!
