      I am trying to install pfSense-CE-memstick-serial-2.4.2-RELEASE-amd64.img
      on Lanner NCA-1210. I tried the rufus or win32diskimager to burn the image on a USB flash drive. after booting the device, I got the following message.

      Reboot and Select proper Boot device
      or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key

      I then insert the USB flash drive on another working pfsense type the following command

      gpart set -a active da0

      I put the USB drive back to the Lanner NCA-1210. The system able to boot the USB drive but stopped at mountroot>

      Thank you for any suggestions.

        on your usb memstick what is the contents of /boot/loader.conf

        You may need to explicitily set a value there to:
        vfs.root.mountfrom="ufs:/dev/da0a"

        200+ pfSense installs - best firewall ever.
