Resolve internal web server
-
hi
thanks for great forum and communityi have an internal website 192.168.100.76:8080/xyz/ i would like my Lan users access it through http://xyz.com
-
That's certainly easy enough to do. Just set up a host override on the DNS server.
-
its not working

The error message is pretty clear. You should know what belongs to an IP address and what not, if you don't learn it.
-
so tell me how to solve this and make my scenario work ?
i need http://192.168.100.76:8080/xyz/ to be translated to http://xyz.com

What you want, can only be achieved with a proxy.
To make it less complicated, configure your web server to (also) listen to http://xyz.com.
Then set the host override with "xyz.com" in the Host box and only "192.168.100.76" in the IP Address field.
