How do I configure DNS Forwarder with an upstream host address?
-
Hello everyone. My first time here. :)
Please forgive any silly questions I ask - I'm not new to Ethernet networking, but there are many things about it I still don't know.
I'm in the process of migrating from DD-WRT to pfSense and am finding there's a ton of new stuff for me to learn!
Anyway, my question is: how do I configure the DNS Resolver (which appears to be dnsmasq) so devices on my LAN can access the modem, which is sitting on the WAN side of pfSense by using its hostname (modem)?
pfSense LAN: 10.0.0.0/24
pfSense WAN -> modem LAN: 192.168.0.0/24
In DD-WRT, I'd use an "Additional DNSMasq Option" to do this:
address=/modem/192.168.0.1
What's the correct way to do this in pfSense?
Thank you.
