      Hi all…

      I have been trying for some days now to run pfSense in a multi-subnet environment but I haven't succeeded so far...

      From the web GUI, it is not possible to address different subnets (e.g Lan interface on 192.168.10.0/24 serving addresses from 192.168.10.30 to 192.168.10.40 and from 192.168.10.50 to 192.168.10.60), only one is possible.

      I then tried to use the DHCP Relay available from the GUI but going to Status > Services will always show dhcprelay stopped and there is no way of starting it. By logging into the system, I figured out that the service is simply not present...

      3 questions then:

      1. Is it possible to make the built-in DHCP server to address different subnets by writing a dhcpd.conf file in /usr/local/etc ?
      2. Where is the DHCP relay service ? Is it available as a package or this feature will be added in later releases (hence, the DHCP Relay tab in the GUI) ?
      3. Has anyone ever succeeded what I am trying to do ? :-)

      I tested this on pfSense v0.90 and I have just upgraded to v0.94.10...

      I will try some of this stuff tomorrow... maybe you guys can put me on the right way.

      Thanks in advance...

        #1 -  No.  Use reservations for this range and make the range broader.
        #2 - Services -> DHCP Relay
        #2 - Not going to work, you cannot split up ranges, you need to add reservations for the items that you wish to not be handed out
