      Hi all,

I'am a new user ( upgraded from Monowall ). As far of today I never succeeded to store the
configuration data onto a floppy. ( No HDD in the PC ).

      • Even if I force ( via option 98 ) the configuration to be stored on the floppy ( FD0 ),
there is nothing written on that floppy. Nevertheless, the system confirms the 'move'.

      • If I boot from a CDROM, the config.xml that I putted manually onto a floppy seems to be never
          red.

      • Same issue if 'monowall' floppy is used ( should be recognised ? ).

I tried this on various PC's, using 0.94.10.

If somebody has an idea of what is going wrong …

      Thanks, Hpe.

Its a code error. (As in the developers made a slight "boo boo" in the code)
(That's what they tell me when I told them about this issue)

Should be fixed in the next update.

Yes ! Of course ! Will try to replace /cinf using /conf in the iso.
            Thanks :-)

I just searched the entire tree and cannot find any occurances of "cinf".  You using a serial console?

I have the same problem, I cannot find any "cinf" entry. Maybe 'Hoba' or 'Aussie_bear' knows more about it ?
I also never get '  Warning: file_get_contents(/cf/cinf/config.xml): failed to open stream … '.
                but FD0 remains void.
Will check further, and keep you informed if I find something. Maybe a mount problem ... ?

I've attached a keyboard and monitor to the PC I'm using as the pfSense box.

The full error message is this…

                  **Processing: moving…removing old...linking...done.
You're configuration has been moved to fd0

Warning: file_get_contents(/cf/cinf/config.xml): failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /etc/inc/config.inc on line 68**

No option to save to removable media anymore?

Works here.  I have a ms dos formatted USB drive in.  Option 98 comes right up.

I can confirm the issue to be solved (CDROM using FD0 - 0.94.12 ).
Option 98 also appears in due time.

                            Thanks,

                              LOL, there's the option!
(The floppy controller on this old setup died. I just tried PfSense on another box)
